Interview Policy
I’m glad to do interviews – either on my writing or about pen reviews.

Guest Blog/Blog Tours – I’m happy to help cross-promote blogs. Still not sure how the blog tours work, but am willing to talk about it.

I prefer email interviews. Not only are they easier to schedule, but I find I communicate better/more coherently in written word.

I will do interviews in person, by phone, or Skype (when I have it completely figured out)

For scheduling information, please email me. Please contact me before sending questions so I know the who/what/when/where/why of the piece before we do it.

Guest Appearances/Signings/Speaking Engagements:
I would love to talk to your class, writers’ group, panel discussion, or other organization…
Topics include but are not limited to: Writing 101, Small Press Writing, Marketing for Writers, Pens, Collaborations. (to name a few)

I already attend 6-8 Science Fiction Conventions a year in the Texas/Oklahoma area and book my appearances 6 months – 1 year prior to the event date. Please check my appearances page first to see if your event conflicts with something I’m already doing, then email me with details.

For classroom or group events – I can generally schedule those 1 – 6 months out.

I’m happy to talk to any group at any grade level. I have some children’s stories as well as adult ones. I’m happy to read, do Q&As, etc.

Signings:
I’m currently a Small Press and Independent writer. If you would like me to do a signing, we will need to coordinate getting books from publishers, how sales will be handled, etc.

Note on Appearances: I am happy to share a signing/event/speaking engagement with other authors and artists. A group event can only draw more audience. I am also happy to combine appearances with other scheduled visits – such as an SF convention, as long as all parties are aware of the shared time.

Unfortunately with the current economy, unless you’re in about a 5 hour radius of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I will not be able to speak with your group/organization/class unless my travel expenses are covered by the group. I can arrange a SKYPE, chat, or other conferencing technology if you would rather try virtual…

Work for Hire
Have Pen Will Write in not just a quirky slogan. I can be rented.
For booking information, please email me.

Non-Fiction:
I have written profiles on authors, artists, and minor celebrities. I have written about writers and marketing. I’ve written about pens and coffee. If you need an article written, I’m your girl. Depending on length and research required to cover a topic – I can turn an article around in about one week (for 1500 words or less). Lead time is appreciated.

Fiction Writing:

I love participating in anthologies, collaborations, solo work, and scriptwriting. Please email me with your proposal, and we’ll talk.

Note: For Fiction and Non-Fiction – I’m a PG writer. I write “clean” (i.e., no cussing). I don’t do gratuitous ANYTHING. And I don’t write erotica (tried it, I’m not any good). I prefer to steer clear of religion and politics, but if it’s really, really important to the story…we can talk.

Rate: Billed by hour for large jobs, by word for small jobs. I’m willing to negotiate to work with a budget, but please respect my time and effort and offer a true professional rate. We all have bills to pay.
